Supervision

with Nikki Estep, MPH, RDN, LD, CEDS

“The purpose of supervision is to set up reflective dialogues through which we learn from the very work we do. Reflection is the medium through which we learn. Not only is it the bridge between information and wisdom, it is the process that turns information and knowledge into wisdom.”

Michael Carroll in Psychotherapy in Australia (2010)

“In supervision, my goal is to provide a space where clinicians can bravely explore their unconscious biases, dynamics, challenges, and stuck points.  I aim to bring an open, curious, compassionate, humanistic, and non-judgmental approach in each supervision session.  My hope is to empower clinicians to embody the best versions of themselves in the work they do.”

How many sessions should I do?

I provide drop-in consultation and also longer-term supervision. I find we are able to do our best work when we plan to work for a series of sessions. This allows us time to really explore concepts, build skills, and go deeper.
